I removed "MOUSE_XAXIS" since I am using an Xbox one controller and modified the .ini file to the following and it works now:

InputAnalogJoyX = "JOY_XAXIS_INV"
InputAnalogJoyY = "JOY_YAXIS_INV"

Thanks alot for posting this fix, makes it way more enjoyable now!

Hi there. So sorry for not replying as this forum's email notification system has been buggy for a while. I still frequent these forums just to see if there are replies.

Good to see you got it working! Have fun!

Finally got around to giving this a try today (it's been on my to-do list for ages). Great to get those duels working the right way now, but Man, even with the controls working, that Vader duel is a right pain in the arse to beat. Blocking his attacks is no problem, it's getting the timing right on your counter attacks that kept tripping me up, I'd be following exactly what the green arrow was telling me to do, but the game kept saying it was a miss. I did it eventually, but maaaan, it was annoyingly tough...

It may sound nuts but I'd take Star Wars Trilogy over Battlefront any day. But I'm an old arcade head so what do I know. I really like the score multiplier in SWT and the fact that it sticks very close to the OT is a real plus point.

Battlefront obviously has more screen accurate graphics but the gameplay isn't very good in either one or two. The lightsaber combat is a joke in both, so SWT wins that hands down.

Also, compareing the speeder bike videos, whilst Battlefront is faster and more immersive what you're actually shooting is a tiny part of the centre of the screen - on a 42" the Biker Scouts are about an inch in size. The enemies have no impact. Looking at SWT you can see Biker Scouts because of the way they come into the field of view. They're close up and you actually feel like you're involved in a fight. Proper arcade gameplay.

Cool vids.

I must admit I'm a bit in the dark trying to figure all this out, but basically I have Star Wars Trilogy Arcade set up with mouse control so I can use a Wiimote and dolphin bar to play it as a lightgun game. So, with that method, up is always up. However, the lightsaber fights were very difficult because they're inverted.

In my version of supermodel I have to go into the test menu of swtrilgy, alter all the settings and exit. This makes an NVRAM file called swtrilgya. Weirdly, running the swtrilgya rom makes an NVRAM file calked swtrilgy... So I kept doing the settings and nothing would work. Finally figured it out what was going on - renamed the NVRAM file, made a copy, deleted any save states and it works.

It's possible to actually do the lightsaber fights with the Wiimote now. Somewhat easier than using the nunchuck, it's the closest thing to an actual lightsaber fight. Pisses all over Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Nice one for figuring this out. On the slim chance anyone else plays this way the nunchuck analogue stick is controlled in the ini file by the key directions. I had to invert all those as well to have the choice of using the Wiimote or nunchuck for the lightsaber duels.

Thank you I am playing with the wiimote and want the lightsaber battles to be playable. Going to test your settings out later.
