LE MANS 24 WEIRD HANDLING

Postby nadkadd1981 » Tue Sep 14, 2021 5:52 am

Hi Bart And the Rest of the Champions,

I have been playing Lemans24 for a while on my g27. I have realized that upon steering quickly, the car looses control for a moment. Does calibration in the test menu fixes the problem?

Honestly not sure about this. I believe this is actually how the game controls, though.

Unfortunately I also encounter the same kind of issue using real hardware. It's not an emulation bug.

The driving mechanic in this game feels unfinished to me.

To be fair, when driving at 200 mph, doesn't a sudden rotation of the steering wheel by more than 45 degrees cause a car to lose control?

Yeah it probably does.

But I find there are times when the car just does it's own thing when initiating the drift mechanic. It's hard to explain but it's a strange phenomenon.

This is definitely a game where using an actual wheel really helps as you need much finer control when steering.

If you've got the force feedback working on your wheel too it makes a difference as the resistance of the wheel adds a slightly more intuitive feel to taking the corners.
