I do not think that the developer is busier in racing games in link mode, nowadays any game (including racing games) is unplayable in link mode with the discovery of Spindizzi, some games can be linked ... but they are unplayable at full speed today.

Can only

Open two game window screens,

can not play two characters together at the same time on a computer.

3 and 4 link network not to mention
the same situation,

So it looks the network itself works fine. I should explain that Supermodel won't accept inputs if the window isn't focused. Mame has this feature under the name of "global inputs".

I had the opportunity to play spikeout digital battle online connected to another machine in 1999. I wish that one day the net code will improve and I can play spikeout again with more people.
