Command box still showing in the background

Postby Sideshowbob » Wed Feb 08, 2012 11:38 am

OK, so I bit the bullet and upgraded.

Z68 M/B
2500K CPU
HD4890 OC etc etc

All running great......but

on running Scud race (it's the only game I've got running at the moment)
the command box still shows at the sides of the screen. i.e the screen is not totally filled.
It's not just a case of adjusting the screen size, as then all my MAME games would be over scanned!

1)tester has a launcher.bat?

Code: Select all
supermodel scud.zip  -fullscreen

thus native full screen emulator 496x384

scud.zip must be in the same folder as supermodel.exe

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2)or add to supermodel.ini

Code: Select all
[ scud ]
XResolution = 640
YResolution = 480
FullScreen = 1

greeting ;)

Strange. I see you're in full screen mode. Tell me, can you see the mouse moving around back there? Also, when the 3D graphics are shown, is there any black border along the sides at all?

Hi Bart.

Thanks for replying.

From memory the mouse is showing, as for 3d graphics...... What exactly do you mean? Actual game play? If so, yes there are black boardes on the side, that's how I'm able to see the cmd box flashing.

If it makes any difference, I'm running Calamity's ATi driver with soft 15Khz

No, I mean an additional black border beyond which the desktop is showing. It would be best if you attached a screenshot in the attract mode. I suspect a driver problem but I suppose there is one thing I can try...

Interesting. I can think of only one thing to try to resolve this. Why don't you PM me with your email and I'll send you something to test out tomorrow.

Code: Select all
!^f::
WinSet, Style, -0xC40000, A
WinMove, A, , 0, 0, 1280, 720
;WinActivate, A
