I'm still finding it a bit hit and miss at times, but I think I've sort of got my head around it. Still, not quite enough to actually finish the medium track on the go I Video captured below though. D'oh!

Without wanting to sound too much like Yoda, I think the key for me was to unlearn what I'd previously learned in Outrun 2 and getting my head around the fact that once you start to drift in Scud Race, if you keep turning the wheel fully to the right or left you WILL spin out. Once you start to drift you need to correct the steering back to the centre a bit to stop the rear of the car from sliding out (which then in turn causes it to spin out). I've also found that if you get into the drift successfully, but it looks like you're going to power slide too wide and hit the wall, you can still tap the brake whilst you're accelerating and maintain your drift, which stops the car from sliding out quite so wide. It's still a bit trial-and-error at times, but when it works it's very satisfying. I'll have to try and progress up to manual gears soon...

well, the drifting in outrun 2 is way easier than scud or daytona usa 2, but how do you translate all that explanation with the arrow keys of the keyboard with scud race?
also your technique has improved a lot since your last video, before you were a drunk driver and now you're approaching schumacher
