I'd like to know what sort of GPU you guys have as considering bumping the requirements for supermodel
If you are unsure just type
supermodel.exe -print-gl-info

Should print something like this

OpenGL information:

Vendor : NVIDIA Corporation
Renderer : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070/PCIe/SSE2
Version : 4.6.0 NVIDIA 512.77
Shading Language Version : 4.60 NVIDIA
Maximum Vertex Array Size: 1048576 vertices
Maximum Texture Size : 32768 texels
Maximum Vertex Attributes: 16
Maximum Vertex Uniforms : 4096
Maximum Texture Img Units: 32

rokfpoewrkcpoqwkcp, what fps do you get with the new3d engine?
Apparently new AMD drivers have drastically improved the performance on AMD cards, but I haven't had any feedback from people with AMD cards yet :)

Yeah I posted here a while ago about the improvement.

Solid 60fps with new3d - 1080 fullscreen.
Quads will run full speed too if I use a 1080 window. Going '-fullscreen' quads gives patches of slow down.

I'm using the laptop version of the 3070 Ti
The latest driver causes very little stuttering, so I'm using an older one

Is there anyone still using opengl 3.0 only compatible hardware?
Perhaps some intel integrated GPUs

All of the following GPUs and Intel CPUs support at least OpenGL 4:

Intel Ivy Bridge (e.g. i5-3570K) and newer
GeForce 400 series and newer (except GeForce 405)
Radeon HD 5000 series and newer (not Mobility Radeon HD 500v series)
Pretty much everything that doesn't support OpenGL 4 will be more than ten years old at this point.

I have a GeForce GTX 1060 3GB myself, been wanting to upgrade but decent GPUs are pretty expensive.

Although I've been really pressed for time lately, I kind of want to put telemetry into Supermodel (that could be optionally disabled, of course). Curious how users would feel about this. I certainly wouldn't want to violate anyone's trust but it would be really interesting to capture some basic system information (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS) as well as the config and session duration, and then make some fun charts everyone could view :)

Thoughts?

I don't understand much here... I can play games that support dx12, vulkan example rpcs3 works at 60 fps but with the new supermodel engine 54fps and the legacy engine works at 60 fps but still has bottlenecks in the curves (drift).

nuexzz have you tried updating to the latest AMD drivers? They were supposed to fix performance issues with opengl, at least for many common games
