The Big Thank You Thread

Postby RaydenX » Sat Oct 15, 2011 4:47 pm

Hi guys,
Here's RaydenX and I've just discovered this wonderful emulator thanks to which I can finally play one of my favourite games, Daytona USA 2! :D

I can imagine that such a complex program needs a huge deal of effort and time on the side of the programmers. They therefore need to be constantly motivated to keep up with this great work, especially because they only do this for fun and not for profit. This is why I wanted to show my gratitude to the programming team and everybody should do the same.
Since I couldn't find a place for this on the forum I decided to create a thread we can use to say thanks to those who made this possible and I suggest to make this sticky ;)

Let's then start the "Big Thank You Thread" to show the programmers our love!!

THANKS A LOT FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN!!! :D :D :D
To buy Daytona USA 1 on PSN or not to buy Daytona USA 1 on PSN? That is the question.

Thank you Bart and the rest of the team and testers. This is a big deal. SW Trilogy was never going to be brought home until you did what you did to get this great emulator off the ground. I dropped some dough in the donation fund this morning. You deserve more still.

I don't know if you remember me, Bart. I'm the guy with the Aimtraks who was talking to you back in April about full screen support for lightguns on Supermodel. I was running around testing things like windowed vs. fullscreen support. Well I don't know what you did, but it works perfectly in fullscreen now.

Also, in answer to the other issues we discussed, the graphics processor was the only thing needed to upgrade in order to get high consistent framerates. I tried upgrading the GPU and nothing else. No need to upgrade CPU or RAM. I'm getting no slowdown in 1280x960 and it looks amazing.
Specs:
-E7300 Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz
-4GB RAM
-Nvidia GT 220

I hope this helps people out there who are wondering if they need to purchase a new rig or just upgrade one component.

This emulator is a big addition to my Arcade Cabinet! I'll have to post video soon.

Thanks again!

-Doug

Thanks for the nice comments, guys, it's much appreciated. It's been exciting for Nik and I to see people enjoying Supermodel, despite her being a performance-crazed man-eater ;)

Thanks for this amazing emulator! It's nice to be able to finally play arcade versions of some of my favorite Saturn and Dreamcast titles! Especially Sega Rally 2 :)
