Cannot remap Dualshock 4 (Dinput or Xinput)

Dinput is what would normally be used, except it doesn't detect my DS4 at all. Using the DS4 windows application to translate it into Xinput works in-game, but getting past that I can't remap any of the buttons as the cmd prompt doesn't detect the controller. Help would be appreciated. And yes I do have the blank box highlighted

I've fixed it by resorting to finding out what supermodel refers to my buttons as and editing them into the ini, with the analog triggers they don't work in the game, to get around that you first have to delete the configuration that makes up on your left stick accelerate, then it should work. I'm just happy to have found out a way to configure my inputs

Configure Inputs just plain doesn't work for me at all whether I'm using a DualShock or an XBO controller.
