Hi I have a Core2 Quad Q9300 2.5GHz, 4GB Ram and a ATI 4870 1GB. I noticed in the Daytona2 Advanced and Expert tracks there are quite a few framerate drops to 35-24fps for a few secs and game slows a bit distracting.
Is this because of my CPU or GPU? If I upgrade my GPU would it run better?

This is a known issue. It is both GPU and CPU related and is caused by in-game texture uploads. It happens even on the fastest systems.
