I'm thinking of putting together a tutorial, similar to the installation instructions
here, to walk people through the procedures for 1) setting up the required development tools, 2) pulling the latest Supermodel source code, and 3) compiling it. Steps 2 and 3 are actually extremely simple and I expect non-developers to have no trouble with them. Step 1 is a bit ghastly and involves typing a lot of things into command lines. But... for those possessing an attention span of longer than 10 seconds and capable of following step-by-step instructions
exactly (with screenshots), it's absolutely doable. And it would only need to be done one single time.
Why am I doing this given that I claim to be so busy? Well, I recently had to upgrade my GCC toolchain for an unrelated reason and thought it would be a perfect opportunity to do this. I made sure to take lots of screenshots of the entire process

Would just need to do a write up, which I'll gladly do in the next few days if there is any interest.
