Controller mapping & Image filling screen

Postby sTo0z » Sat Feb 26, 2022 1:39 pm

Hey all, have two quick questions!

1) I was able to map my controller no problem, but something that happens to me often on these machines (as I have two USB devices plugged in) is that they seem to activate within Windows in a random order. In noticed in Supermodel.ini when I was setting, they entered as JOY2 this time. Do I have to worry about my controller activating as JOY1 in the future and therefore have the controls no longer working?

I believe MAME solves this issue with their "Stable Controller IDs" feature. Does Supermodel have something similar?

2) I am trying to get the game image to fill my entire screen, and I'm nearly there, but currently there is some black space on the top and bottom. The left and right is completely filled in. My desktop resolution is 1366x768 and here are my settings:

[ Global ]
XResolution = 1366
YResolution = 768
FullScreen = 1

I'm also sending the -wide-screen argument upon launching (as I couldn't figure out the widescreen command for the .ini). With the space along the top and bottom, is that just how it's going to render while trying to maintain the proper image for the game? It's not a ton of black space along the top and bottom, but just want to make sure I am not missing something. If that's how it's supposed to render, then all good. :)

Amazing work to everyone who has made all this running, thank you all!

EDIT: Well, issue #2 seems to be my TV. Exact settings on another machine/screen properly fills the image. Seems to be some sort of display/zoom setting on the TV itself, although none of them quite fill it in. It's definitely not Supermodel's fault though, so no worries there!
