Your mother didn't care which was more powerful last night, Trebek.
That said, 3DS has a dual-core ARM11 at around 250 MHz, a GPU with pixel and vertex shaders, and the same audio DSP as the Wii (good for around 48 channels of 16-bit stereo plus effects). So yes, it's more powerful than Model 3, by at least an order of magnitude.
