Can I exit Supermodel using an arcade controller?

I am trying to set up a system that can play both Supermodel and MAME via Retroarch.

The problem I have run into is that the only way I have found to exit Supermodel is to set a button on my controller to "close active window" in Launchbox. This works swimmingly for Supermodel, but is causing set up headaches in Retroarch. The arcade controller only has 6 buttons and it would make setup MUCH easier if there was some way to enable one of those buttons to exit Supermodel only. Exiting Retroarch with 1 button is problematic when that effectively leaves me with 5 buttons.

UX functionality is not remappable because otherwise, people might mess up their Supermodel.ini config file and then find they can't access basic emulator functionality or even exit the program.

We could add an "ALT_EXIT" mapping or something that could be freely assigned, however.

Trying to make standalones work with RetroArach is always a headache. I avoid it all together and just configure standalone emulators in LaunchBox, where ESC is my universal exit for all consoles I emulate namely PS1, PS2, PSP, N64, GC, Wii, DC, Model3, Atomiswave, NAOMI, NAOMI 2.
Simple and effective. :)
