Error after changing control and resolution settings

I adjusted the game controls for my joystick and changed the resolution, but when I boot any game, this message appears:

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::range_error'
what(): Node "port_in" does not exist



What does that mean? Can somebody please help me? That would be a big help.

I think the net code is not properly checking that these config keys exist. Try making sure these are in your Supermodel.ini:

EmulateNet = 0
port_in = 1970
port_out = 1971
addr_out = 127.0.0.1


The last three values aren't super important if you aren't using net play.

what made it work? i have downloaded the newest version 862 and i still get this error
